Set up Guest Wi-Fi

Configure a separate guest network to let visitors browse the web without accessing your primary local storage and devices.

Handing out your primary Wi-Fi password to guests, visitors, or contractors creates serious privacy risks. Any device on your main network can see your smart TVs, AirPlay casting targets, shared network hard drives (NAS), and smart security cameras. A Guest Network isolates visitors onto a separate virtual LAN.

1 Step-by-Step Guest Wi-Fi Configuration

1
Enable Guest Network Broadcast

Log in to the dashboard, open Guest Network, and toggle the radio state to "Enabled".

2
Choose a Distinct Guest SSID

Name the SSID clearly (e.g. Home_Guest) so visitors easily identify it without confusion.

3
Enable AP Isolation / Intranet Block (Crucial)

Ensure "Allow guests to see each other and access my local network" is set to OFF. This restricts guest devices to internet access only.

Optional: Set Guest Bandwidth Caps

To ensure that guests downloading large video files or updates don't saturate your connection, set a maximum speed limit (e.g., 25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload) inside the Guest Bandwidth Control settings.
